It was a day to forget for four of the seven horse riders
Wednesday, January 17, 2018
To be a horse racing commentator, you need a steady nerve and composure in abundance.
But tell that to the poor chap who had the misfortune of working on one of the craziest horse races ever caught on camera.
Japanese punters were left stunned when four of the seven riders fell from their saddle in a moment of pure madness.
As the first rider falls off, the race seems to continue as normal.
However, the whole affair quickly descends into chaos when the new leader also falls from his horse and veers into the rider to his left.
To cap it all off, a fourth and final rider falls from his saddle to allow the rider who was in last place for much of it to cross the line first.
The top three podium places were filled by the only riders to actually finish the race.
Watch the madness unfold in the video below, and make sure to turn the volume up to hear the commentary!
