Real Madrid starlet Marco Asensio has revealed he has received offers to join five clubs, including Premier League sides Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal.
The 22-year-old is frustrated with his bit-part role in Zinedine Zidane’s team and has warned the Spanish giants he has a host of offers and will consider them if his situation doesn’t not change.
Asensio has made 20 LaLiga appearances this season but most of those have been off the bench, and he staked his claim for a more regular first-team spot with two goals in Real’s 3-2 win over Real Betis on Sunday night.
But his form has also attracted a host of clubs in Europe, and the Spanish youngster has warned Real to ensure he plays more regularly, or he could be off in the summer.
Dario Gol have quoted the midfielder as saying: “I have five offers”, with those clubs said to be Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Juventus and Bayern Munich.
The Spanish newspaper claim the youngster’s first priority is to remain and succeed at the Bernabeu, but is unhappy under Zidane’s management and will look to leave if the Frenchman continues in his role.
Zidane’s job is thought to be on the line with the club currently sitting fourth in LaLiga, 17 points behind leaders Barcelona.
Asensio’s current contract with Real Madrid runs until 2023 and club president Florentino Perez is said to be keen on keep him at the club.
Chelsea are apparently the favourites to sign Asensio if he becomes available, having successful negotiated a deal for striker Alvaro Morata last summer.
